1989/90 17/3/90 v Marine in the Northern Premier League, South won 2-0 with goals from Dave Massett (on his debut) and Robbie Gaffney. This was less than a month before our last ever game at  Holly Park (a 1-0 win in the Liverpool Senior Cup against Liverpool Reserves). Eddie Johnston was the scorer of that last ever South goal at Holly Park which is now the site of Liverpool South Parkway.

John McInnes played 429 first team games with great distinction between 1983 and 1991 for South winning 6 cup winners medals and a lynchpin of the team when we finished 3rd in the Northern Premier League in 1984 and is now a stalwart at Maghull.
Physio Peter Beirne had been commended for his quick action at Goole the month before when he went to the aid of a heart attack victim at the game
Joint Manager Phil McFerran had previously played for South as both and was a firm favourite with all at South upon his return and remains a good friend to the club.
Joe Kelly is a regular match sponsor of South and his son also Joe recently played for South too.
