Billy Birch

Bill joined the club management team in 2010 as assistant reserve team manager.

Bill is a well known football man for many years was at Old Xaverians FC as well as being a local referee.

Less well known about Bill is that he is an ex South player, having been youth team keeper back in 1972-73 under joint managers, Joby Humphries & Les Parkes. Vauxhall Motors chairman, Alan Bartlam, was our team secretary at the time. South finished league runners up (by one point, still wrankles!) in the Liverpool Sunday League Youth Division and it was our first of two Lancashire FA Youth Cup wins.

2014/15 saw South Reserves gain promotion to the Second Division of the West Cheshire League

Bill joined the Club Committee and became Vice Chairman and stepped up to Club Chairman following the sad, untimely death of Chairman, Peter Heatley at Christmas 2015.
